Incoming Rotary OCH President Marcus Robertson has paid tribute to the leadership of outgoing President Bronwen Lamond, for her focus on Community during her term of office.
He said “We are proud of how the Oakleigh Rotary Sunday Market, & our Charity Golf Day at Huntingdale Golf Club, enables rotary to give back to the Community”. In what was a “Covid affected” financial year, $65,000 has been returned to worthy beneficiaries in our community, including;
Community Organizations and Relief Centres $24,000
Oakleigh Community Support Centre, Waverley Community Support Centre, Dixon House Clayton, Waverley Homeless Housing Project, Salvation Army, Monash Children’s Hospital, Monash Health, Monash Historical Society, Parkinson’s Victoria, Monash Community Arts Society, Ronald Mc Donald House Family Room, Oakleigh-Carnegie RSL Anzac Day, Mental Health Programs.
Youth – Schools and Student Support Programs $15,000
Clarinda Primary School, Clayton North Primary School, South Oakleigh College, Sacred Heart College, Huntingdale Primary School, John Monash Science School, Oakleigh South Girl Guides
Community Sporting Organisations $6,000
Oakleigh Amateur Football Club, South Oakleigh Bowling Club
Tertiary scholarships $4,100
